Monica Correia earns Fulbright Scholar Award to research sustainable textile design in France

Wednesday, May 13, 2026
Monica Correia, professor of 3D design and collegiate scholar in the School of Art, Art History, and Design in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, received a Fulbright Scholar Award to conduct research at the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts et Industries Textiles (ENSAIT) GEMTEX Laboratory in Roubaix, France. Her project focuses on sustainable textile design and seamless weaving methodologies that reduce manufacturing waste.
