Dreaming of doing your own research abroad? The Stanley Award for International Research gives UI students up to $2,500 to design and carry out a research or fieldwork project overseas. Your project can be in any discipline — the key is that it engages with global issues and lasts at least four weeks.

Three info sessions are coming up where you’ll learn everything you need to know about applying, from finding a faculty mentor to building a strong proposal:

The award is made possible through the generosity of the Stanley-University of Iowa Foundation Support Organization (SUIFSO). Since its inception, SUIFSO has funded projects to promote public understanding and cooperative action on critical international issues across the university, including the creation of the Stanley Undergraduate and Graduate Awards for International Research.
