Kostina received an International Programs’ Special Projects Awards to host the event, which provides funding for small-scale international activities on the UI campus to support internationalization at Iowa.

After passing her dissertation defense, Wenqi has graduated from the University of Iowa's Linguistics PhD program! The title of her dissertation is "Questioning monolingualism: The effects of bidialectism on language processing."

On Wednesday, May 7th from 5:30-7:00p.m., Professors Kirsten Kumpf Baele and Kay Ramey along with their daughters and two university students proudly represented the university at “World Wide Wickham,” an evening of celebration, community, and fun at Wickham Elementary School.

Global Access Ambassador Folasade Olawoye, an international studies major with a minor in Korean studies and translation, participated in the TEAN South Korea: Korea University Program.

Mairen Thompson, a University of Iowa graduate student studying world language education, from Tipton, Iowa, has been awarded a 2025 U.S. Department of State Critical Language Scholarship (CLS) to study in Japan this summer at Okayama University for an intensive Japanese language program.
