Aron Aji, Director of Translation Programs, and Kelsi Vanada, a distinguished alum of the Translation Program, were featured guests on Talk of Iowa with Charity Nebbe on April 4th. Maria Osman, who received a BA in international studies from the University of Iowa in 2022, is the winner of a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant Award to Indonesia for 2024-25.

During summer 2023, International Studies student Abby Fowler had the privilege to spend two months in Japan as a recipient of a Critical Language Scholarship.

In efforts to assist unaccompanied minors who are refugees, the International Rescue Committee will launch a new program aimed at these individuals to get documentation and connect with a guardian.
